Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

If I could visit anywhere, it would be all of Caribbean and Latin-American places. Today I would dream of going to Colombia. Colombia is a country with a lot of history and such of beautiful places. Before Columbus arrived, there were a lot of indigenous people inhabit the places nowadays we call “Colombia”. Some of their names is/was Quimbaya, Tairona and Muisca. Muisca people inhabit Cundimarca, Bocayá and Santander.

I would like to visit Medellín because of the Rock of Guatupe, it’s so gorgeous and looks unrealistic. In fact, people think is unreal, like a movie, but nope, It’s in Medellín

Also, I would like to go to San Andrés and Providence islands, those islands have such of wonderful places, like “7 colors sea”, the tiny islands Haines Cay and Rose Cay in which you can walk across from one to another. Addedly, Sanandres* people have a lot of history, the descents of first people who arrived against their will, because they were slaves of european, speak Creole, which is a mixture of English and Africans languages. It’s different of Haitian Creole which is a mixture of French and Africans languages. Both Creole born to supply the need of speak without being understand by European people. Nowadays, in San Andrés and Providencia people speak both, Creole and Spanish.

Definitely I’d like to live and study there. First of all, because the weather, then one day I’d really love to study there. It’s my second option of exchange. If I study there, I would go to all the places nearby, or at least try.

*They call themselves "Sanandrecino/a"

  3. Yeah, i agree, Latin America has beautiful things to discover. Its pretty sad that there is a lot of narco-tourism that makes the false idea and stereotype of latin america.
