Blog 8: English Language Challenges

Hi everyone!

Today is our last post! Semester is gone hahaha. This classes were my first English classes in the university, so I don’t have a point of comparison. Also, were my first online English course (open English who), and to add more uncommon circumstances, in quarantine for COVID-19. So, this is a whole new experience.

About the blog, I have never used a blog before until this semester, something close to that was Tumblr, but in that site, you can make content or reblog content, so it’s different. For the weekly post I had to find out new specific vocabulary, also think about myself, my interests, preferences and feelings.

In my day by day I practice my English listening to music in English, watching tv, movies, series with the original language, reading books, articles, comics in English, and in the social media, in Instagram posts, Reddit, Youtube, etc. As you can see, I practice my listening, reading and writing skills, but not my speaking skills, I don’t know how to practice outside the classes that area, because I don’t have any English speaker friend (as a current language)

I have to improve my English speaking, because in some moments I have been nervous when I talk to people or in front people. I have to work in my self-confidence about my knowledge.

So, there’s work to do! Thanks for reading, have a (sort of) nice end of semester <3
